little snow
big snow
An expression heard 'round these parts, a prediction, an omen of things to come. The smaller the flake of snow the more extreme the accumulation may be. The snowflakes on Miss D & my walk this early morning were teeny, tiny - almost invisible, like a white haze. There's a snowfall warning in effect for today, the worst of it happening this afternoon, schools are all cancelled & the Prince & are rushing off to the nearest larger town for one of our big provisions shops. We'll see if we can't race back to the village before les storm really hits. No art with kids today but I bet those kids are happy - no school - yippee !
* email me please & wholesale orders welcome ;-)

Our daughter was totally bummed that we DID have school here on the s. Shore today. Every day she wakes up hoping.....
ReplyDeleteI love the big ol' chunky woodblock type. Every so often I come across a letterpress w. fonts for sale on Kijiji or eBay and sign wistfully. If only!
Hope you made it back safe n' sound before the snow hit, and are cozily tucked up somewhere warm! xo n
My ninth grader loves snow days even though it means her summer break will be shorter. I love them too, especially the surprise of an unplanned day at home to break up the routine.
ReplyDeleteIt's been in the 60s all week here. You will not hear me complain a speck.
ReplyDeleteYou lucky dogs! No snow here in sunny Colorado. And in the US, Groundhog Day 2012 will be here soon! Phil will leave his burrow at 7:20 February 2nd at Gobblers Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania he will observe the weather conditions and look for his shadow he will then make his prediction for the remainder of winter.
ReplyDeletetail wags + happy shoveling,
