a work in progress - hand drawn typography with florescent accents - Susan Black

Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are.
Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart.
Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow.
Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so.
One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow,
or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want,
more than all the world, your return.

My first attempt at a new design for 1 of 2 new 2ftx3ft 2012 poster calendars with one of my all time favourite quotations and such a fitting verse for a calendar - hey ! please don't let this day, this moment, slip by because ya know you're never gonna get it back again. I've been thinking about these new poster calendar designs a very long time, gathering inspiration & madly doin' lots of mentals. So ... for my first attempt I'm pretty darned pleased with this effort although my designers tummy (gut) tells me instinctively that it's ... not .. quite ... there .. yet.

Wild, wintery, windy weather here. High tides, storm surges, 100km gusts, crashing breakers !!
tres exciting ... and we haven't lost power yet ... hallelujah !

Ya huh !! More Rockin' On @ les TTD
