Miss D and I alone on the sandbars

I can't wait ... this winter's seemed so long. It's mild here this early morning which is a lovely change but the temperatures will drop back down into the minus' later on today and stay there for the next while. Sigh.

I had a great day at school yesterday the kids are beginning to feel comfortable with me and they're asking me for help more often. It was a very good idea - this volunteering to help the high school art teacher. Next week is March break and I must throw myself into my CE building - full force - full speed ahead.

I'm dreaming of long walks with my girl Winnie at the beach, a warm gentle breeze, of lying under a canopy of rustling bright green leaves - of a carefree life. Please.

  1. Such gentle soft colours in your delightful photos. I really like the snowy one of 29 Black Street on your side bar.Glad you are having a good time helping with the art students -like you, I like art as a subject as there are so many different outcomes and interpretations - all interesting. Love to you and the Furry Gang. xx

  2. Me too!! Can't wait for open fields and green grass. And more rain than I'm currently accustomed to.

  3. I am so ready for spring. We've been hit with more snow. I made an ice sculpture and a snowwoman a couple of days ago. It was fun and prevented me from bemoaning the snowfall.

We haven't had as much snow as the recent east coast dump, I wish you a great, and early, spring.

  4. Glad to hear things are going well at school and that the kids feel comfortable with you! How could they not?!

  5. ah, i've missed your photos of the sea there in nova scotia! it won't be long until we'll all be enjoying the warm spring breeze!

  6. you and I need to talk about: Beach Glass!

  7. Sweet Susan...I am longing for green skies and beautiful fields full of flowers, too! More than anything, I am looking forward to smelling the fresh air from my recent vaca...soon...I will be moving there for a fresh start in my life!

So cool that you are an art teacher! LOVE it! :)

Much love to you and the furry gang. xo

  8. I am so looking forward to green once more.
