Missy D on Thinker's Lodge lawn / red winged black bird in the marsh behind the crescent beach / rhododendron getting ready to burst with it's hot pink glory / barnacles / golden green seaweed / a beautiful very old poplar tree encourages community / some thing's coming up in our front garden ? / sand bar wave markings / seaweed & barnacles at low tide / invasive Japanese green crab / seaweed on the crescent beach / more tree lichen / daphne from the terracotta gardens / Missy D and a colourful patch of assorted sea grasses / moon with pink tinged early morning clouds.

A bald eagle flew over Miss D & I this morning, flying so low we could hear the swish of his giant wings - a good omen

Challenges come so we can grow and be prepared for things we are not equipped to handle now.
When we face our challenges with faith, prepared to learn, willing to make changes, and if necessary to let go,
we are demanding our power be turned on.

  5. "...we are demanding our power be turned on". I'd always equated that with the buzz of stress and the need to deal with "challenging situations", but I have learned to let go lately and trust things to a higher power.
There is always growth in challenges but have always felt I'm not as brave as most to deal with them.
Will have to turn on the emotional power switch for husband's approaching heart surgery at the end of the month. I guess we are all brave in more ways than we know.
Love your blog Susan. Your photos are beautifully uplifting.

  6. Thanks so much for reading "but" I'm sorry Alex - the next size up is w-a-y too large. I'm surprised that I haven't had more "type is too small" comments but oh happy day it's an easy thing to change in your browser window.
