hills & valleys

poppies / the crescent beach / grackles / double mock orange / invasive green crab / Miss Winnie Dixon & Canada Day / impatience / Miss Betty admiring her new home / from the boardwalk looking out into the strait / Betty / I love this tunnel of trees at the end of Water St. / a very messy office and oops the boss is back / not sure about this one - a shrub in the backyard looks a bit like a strawberry blossom ? / the sea wall at the crescent beach / thistle / raven or crow / my favourite view of 29 Black

There is always a part of my mind that is preparing for the worst,
and another part of my mind that believes if I prepare enough for it, the worst won’t happen.

Hills, valleys and plenty of jagged steep mountains.

Unfortunately it seems more and more I can't tell the difference between a very small hill and a mountain, so playing it safe I make them everything a mountain ... just in case. Not good.

  1. I have mock orange at the back of my house, between two living room windows. I kept the windows on that side of the house open while it was in bloom so the scent could permeate the house. It's one of my favorites.

    Happy Canada Day!

    Love you too best-friend-a-girl-could-ever-have MLou

& yes Julie 2 Macs, the one on the left is over 5 years old & slow as cold molasses going uphill but chock a block full of important, waiting to be filed & archived in some super sensible way artwork and stuff and my new littler high speed, fast Mac, on the right already getting cluttered up - with no apparent system of filing/archiving (or gasp backing up).

omg ! there's another friggin' jagged mountain peak - can you hear me screaming through cyber space - ahhhhhhh

  7. Oh, I so need to go for a photo walk. Finished my last course with Vivienne and have been a little depressed, but I think I have figured out that it is because I haven't been taking photos!! (Took some the other day and noticed an immediate improvement in world outlook!)

You have given me the great idea of preserving some shots of favourite spots in the house and yard.

I absolutely love the white flower close up with those beautiful yellow stamens. (Would love that as a card to send out to people. It feels so joyful!) LOVE your photos...
