Me and my girl - Miss Winnie Dixon
I may have misplaced my hope ... but I sure haven't lost my love.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends.
Corinthians 13:4-7
And Pamela and Edward left this poem for me yesterday. Makes me cry to read these words. But all these tears, they must come out.
Hope
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune–without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

Good morning, Susan. What a VERY beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing. And if I can say so, I needed to hear these words as well, as I sit here and feel hopeless this morning after the news from the doctor yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI love your picture you posted, too, of you and Winnie. Adorable and yes, FULL of love!
Much love,
xo

Love conquers all. Hang in there, dear friend. x o
Winnie looks so happy to be your guardian and protector. We are so glad you liked the poem.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quote and beautiful poem. Love does indeed endure, beyond time, beyond death. And hope will return. Smiles and love.
ReplyDeleteHope and Love... two beautiful words.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful quote and poem.
Corinthians Love passage is a good place to go. I find strength in Jesus' words. He says, seek and you WILL find. Here is wishing you all the best in all you are seeking--starting with hope. Hope fulfilled never disappoints.
