some today's

a rather slapdash assortment of 11 from recent days

Hey God please ...

grant me the serenity to accept
the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
& the wisdom to know the difference.

some today's ... two prayers & the ongoing quest to find the anti-venom for fear.

I'm not Christian, in fact I could almost say I'm not even sure what Christian means in today's world. I do speak with God however on a fairly regular basis and have for many years. The God I speak to isn't related to the God of the big C clan - he/she/it is about my own personal big C - that would be the big C - Comfort. Someone to tell my craziest thoughts & worries to. Someone with a vast array of superpowers who could & might protect me and those I love with one of those magical powers ... say the impenetrable glass dome of safety for example if I ask nicely and if I continue trying to be the kind, caring conscientious person I always want to be. That's the deal my God & I have.

Hey God please also remind me

courage doesn't always roar
sometimes courage is the quiet voice
at the end of the day saying
I will try again tomorrow

I'm currently reading the book Spirit Junkie by Gabrielle Berstein, I'm lapping up & soaking up anything that might transform into the anti-venom for the fear & anxiety that is my curse, my affliction. I am watching Ze Frank videos. I am talking to myself, coaching myself ... always. It has become my other full time job (besides creative empire building) - the job of finally kicking my fear (or most of it) to the curb. So long ! Bye Bye. & the best thing is, I feel like I'm making progress.

(another bang on lesson from our new guru Ze Frank - thank you MLou for sending it my way ;-)

  3. Hi Susan, thanks for checking out my blog and leaving a comment. We are very excited about the Raptor's. (going today). Thanks also for sharing the video. I loved it and found the one on the teen brain amazing. I have a teen and this is exactly the truth and so very valuable for parents and teens and the world in general to understand. Take care.

  4. Susan,
Your photo are wonderful, the colors and composition speak volumes. I enjoy coming here every day.
The cat close up - wow. I have similar cat named Lucy. Have you looked up Egyptian Mau cats? My Lucy has same eyes, the long flange skin and racoon walk as well as the little dance that is described. Your's looks so much like mine, they might be long lost relatives :). Look it up when you can. I wish I could paste a photo here to share.
    All my best, Kitty, USA
