if you look closely at this last photo you'll see 3 deer crossing from the other side - yikes !! the band in the centre is open water which closes over further up and out of the frame to the right - it made me sick watching them but luckily they veered that way and made it safely to our side of the harbour- phew ;-)
Baby girl doesn't want a sweater for these snowing walks? My sissy dogs wouldn't go a STEP!!!
ReplyDeleteYou two are unstoppable!
ReplyDeleteSnow..... and here we have primroses and daffodils. It's a confusing world out there!
ReplyDeleteHey Rach lucky you ... we've had an especially wintry winter this year (sad face)
ReplyDeleteHey Vik, sometimes if the roads are too salty she will hold her paws up & look at me pleadingly & she cannot bear rain (she get's all squinty eyed) but the snow, winter & cooler temperatures seem to invigorate her. Sam is a total all weather dog, he loves to hang out in a snowbank in the backyard watching the world go by.
ReplyDelete& yes John we really are unstoppable. We at least do a quick spin around to "blow the stink off us" each early morning ;-) My sister's husband, father of much loved nephew Micheal, use to say that to his kids. "Go on outside, blow the stick of you" - it always makes me laugh.
A walk everyday is our motto here too! Colorado wishes for snow.... boo, hoo ... but, always tail wags.

Love Miss Winnie in the snow.
ReplyDeleteGlad you pointed out the deer -- glad they made it across.
In your case, Susan, I think it's that Huy Fong chili garlic sauce that keeps you going in the snow. Not sure what keeps Winnie going.
ReplyDeleteWinnie with her "snow on the nose" face... makes me smile. My Corgi hated the rain too, flinched as each drop struck her face, but loved to hop through the snow. Especially lovely pictures and a safe journey for the deer! All good! We have snow here, but it's fading somewhat... rain expected in a couple days. still much prettier than last year... "the winter that wasn't!" xoxoxo
ReplyDeletewow!! those are snowy pictures!! were you an artic explorer in a former life??
ReplyDeletehard to believe there are raging bushfires in australia - what a phenomenal planet we inhabit!
xx
Beautiful photos Susan.
ReplyDeleteHa! "Get out and blow the stink off you!" Man, if I heard that once when I was a kind, I heard it a million times. That was my mother's code for "All of you get the h*** outside now, before my head blows up!" <:-o

"when I was a KID", not "kind". dang!
ReplyDeleteI read "kid" & maybe it's a New Brunswick expression n.
