Dandelion No. 2 - 9 x 12 coffee stain, collage, gouache & ink - Susan Black - in my etsy shop

I'm off to the city for a wee holiday, I'm staying here & with her ... :-) happy sigh. I'll be leaving my two D's behind Missy darn D & Doug le Prince of OATG*. I'm leaving Sam, Oliver, Virgil & Bleet ... this old brick house, 29 Black Street, our little village by the sea & les terracotta gardens.

It's a mixed bag of emotions for me - the leaving of home. It's a stressful, push-pull combination of feeling thrilled + dread, of yikes + yippees. I've always had a hard time leaving this home of mine & my family of animals, fortunately + sadly I don't spread my wings and leave home often anymore because it can be the most anxiety inducing situation this tres imaginative brain of mine can conjure up. This time it's especially difficult + wonderful because for the first time in as long as I can remember there's someone at home missing me ... what an amazing feeling that is - to be loved & to know you are missed + I know he'll take especially good care of les (much loved & soon to be very missed by me) Gang ... look out city 'cause here I come ;-)

*of all things good
