That's a pine cone developing on her front yard big, tall pine tree. We think it's red pine - sparse-ish branches & currently home at tip top to a pair of nesting ravens - :-)
Such amazingly beautiful photographs of flowers and other plants this morning! Love the shot of the tiny pinecones!!! Are hydrangeas perennials up there or only annuals? They look every bit as good as mine down here which are perennials.
Obviously the hydrangeas like it where you live. Any idea what the plant in photo #2 is?
