impatience in a pot on our front porch - or when blur is good

the heart is forever inexperienced

Henry David Thoreau

Phew ... well that's a relief and something to continually remind myself of.

Things are busy here at 29 Black Street. Thursday I had to hold myself back from falling at the feet of the new, young, enthusiastic, Liberal/Left - cut from a similar cloth, pas de good ol' boy (which is a gigantic relief), eco-green lovin', nice, takes his dog with him everywhere kinda guy (10,000 instant bonus points), willing to barter some (design for handy-ness) handy man – who I met with for the first time. Garden, yard, inside outside, carpentry, odd jobs, you-name-it guy Ben, is arriving this coming Tuesday to remove the vine from our roof. A very large section of the roof is completely covered with a very happy and content vine that's been threatening to swallow our old brick house whole (much like The Vine in this creepy book). We love vine on brick, just not on shingles. I have a whole list of little projects (inside and out) and I'm confident he's the one - he's the guy, the one I've, somewhat patiently, been waiting for, for what seems like forever ... Merci M. Universe !

I'm reminded that ... good things do indeed come

And lots and lots of design work here at the teak topped desk. I just glanced out the window and it's a Gorgeous early morning. A big nearly full moon sits low in the sky, everything is lit by warm orange dawn light and I can see that the harbour is still - like glass. I'll grab my camera and say Let's getta goin' Missy D.
