5 x 7 monotone gouache studies - cat in meadow, bowls & still life No.1 - Susan Black

Remember a few days ago I mentioned how inspired I was by the quirky, loose, gestural paintings of Bella Foster - well I've been diving in, the secret I'm thinkin' is a big brush, not too much pre-planning or over thinking (say what ??) 1 colour only + tons of confidence !!

    Hi Pamela, Please meet Sam(uel) or nick named "hunred lbs" we don't think he's an official Leonburger just a slightly smaller reasonable facsimile. We adopted him last Halloween kisses to E & A and you too of course xo Susan & les Gang

    I couldn't agree more - an amazing start!! I love the mmonochrome, and especially the loose, gestural approach. Only one colour = love it!!
