  2. Wow...spectacular! Makes me wonder what the heck I'm doing in landlocked "upper Canada".

  3. Well, ....that is something else! It looks like a moonscape or something unreal .... those huge mushrooms or table tops of ice are totally weird. I guess it is the way the water washes against them that undercuts like that... amazing....

thanks for a great morning walk Winnie and Susan!

  4. Lovely. I particularly like the light on the frosty trees and the berg that looks like a cloud brought to earth.

  6. The last two mornings have been spectacular. Warm, sunny and we're gone for an hour and a half walking through fields, on sandbars and seaweed covered rocks and then back through the pasture. So amazingly good for the soul. And that Miss Dixon ... she's something else she is.

  7. I found my way to your blog through Alicia's. You left a comment about Gerald Durrell's books and that lured me here. I have such a soft spot in my heart for his books. They have been read and reread over and over.
Your photographs are beautiful and such a lovely spot to live.
I have to confess that I have been wiping away the tears while reading about your beloved dog. I am so sorry for your loss.
I have two Newfoundlands and I absolutely can't imagine life without them. It will come though, I know.
    Take care.
