we call these pinks
they grow everywhere - huge expansive carpets of pink blossoms and yesterday while on a sunny July late afternoon walk with my girl Miss D, these pinks were completely covered with buzzing bees
joy and sorrow are inseparable. . .
together they come
and when one sits alone with you . . .
remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.
Kahlil Gibran

Pink against a pristine blue sky! Just beautiful, Susan. The quoted verse is inspiring too, I'm thinking about who is sleeping, just now, in my bed. <3
ReplyDeleteYou have a great eye for photography. Beautiful Susan.
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Sonia ;)
That was beautiful Susan! Are they Primrose?
ReplyDeleteWe had that same glorious blue sky yesterday. Rare in central Ohio.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - those two colors together are so peaceful. Great words, too. I think I've been hanging out with Grumpiness, so does that mean that Cheerfulness has had a nice nap? Maybe I should wake her up. Let Grumpy catch a few winks. :)
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful Susan.I was pleased to see Yoborobo's comment above. I too, have been in the Land of Grumpy lately - a big disappointment to myself seeing my key-word was going to be Joy this year. Thanks for the beauty of colour delightfully captured, and such a mindful and inspiring quote.
ReplyDeleteYou take the most amazing photographs!
