looking out into the Northumberland Strait & the warmest waters north of Virginia - it's true ! / I ♡ barnacles - each shell a little home / young Samuel posing / the bluest sky / high tide rock life / Thinker's Lodge lawn another fav spot / periwinkle / Sam / gentle waves / periwinkle trail in the wet sand / onto the beach / sparkling sun on low tide sand flats / oh my tiny shells galore / hey there handsome xoxo

It was such a pleasure to sink one's hands into the warm earth, to feel at one's fingertips the possibilities of the new season. Kate Morton - The Forgotten Garden

I've been gardening, gardening, gardening all weekend. I'm in-between projects and truly it's felt like I'm on vacation, I've been feeling so absolutely content it feels like I might burst with happiness. Today is the unofficial beginning of summertime here in cottage country. Victoria Day (Queen Victoria's birthday) a holiday, long weekend and the annual cottage opening weekend. It's been gorgeous, hot, sunny - perfect. Now off I go to weed my flower beds with this amazing tool ;-)
