Do you ever roast fruit ? I've been roasting* Ontario peaches (peeled is best the skins get tough) a smidge of butter & brown sugar & a very hot 425 oven for 10-15 mins - heavenly with freshly whipped cream - pears, apples, plums also delish !

Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love. We melt into another world, a realm of power already within us. The world changes when we change. the world softens when we soften. The world loves us when we choose to love the world.
Marianne Williamson

I am struggling terribly, battling with the concept of surrendering. It's a new one for me, this idea of surrendering. That's always seemed weak to me I guess, like giving in, giving up. I am finally understanding that the answer to my struggles is to not struggle, it's to surrender to them, to accept them. But it doesn't mean it's easy - it doesn't mean I'm not goin' down fighting, I have my white flag ready- it's SO difficult for me to just let go, to let go of all these years of struggle ... of the bad (sad, worry, fret, insecurity) etc.

Surrender to what is ... stop struggling against it & everything - it's so challenging but so necessary. Marianne & Gabby are onto something really powerfully good & amazing.

  1. As long as it is a helpful "surrender" go for it.

BTW I think I gained two pounds just looking at those peaches.

  2. The peaches look wonderful, I am sure they taste great.
I guess I can surrender my feelings but I cannot give up hope, it is the only thing which keeps me going.

  3. That quote is so powerful and, for me right now, very scary. Surrendering to what is feels terrifying in my life right now.
