The edge of the sea is a strange and beautiful place. Rachel Carson

  1. Sometimes there are no need for words! You are so lucky to have such a beautiful place to walk. Other than for a state park beach, only accessible by boat, and a military base beach close by all waterfront ocean property is condos or obscene macmansions! I don't know if I could survive the winters there, but I sure would love to spend my summers there!!!

  2. the winters are pretty beautiful also ... if you're introverted (hand raised high + waving) it's actually like a few months of gentle, white & sometimes cold hibernation ;-) xoxo Susan & gang

  3. Rachel Carson is my hero. And sadly, she was a correct predictor of things to come on our lil' blue planet.

  4. My introverted self handles hibernation very well, though I love to play outside on our few snow days here!! I used to love to walk in the woods after it snowed.

  5. from a little poster in our Studio: to stand at the edge of the sea, to sense the ebb and flow of the tides,to feel the breath of the mist moving over a great salt marsh, to watch the flight of shore birds that have swept up and down. The sun lines of the continents for untold thousands of year ... is to have knowledge of things that are as nearly eternal as any earthly life can be. ahhh Rachel!!! You may have used this quote in the past? Tail wags + long beach walks to all ~moose
