Beautiful photos of Winnie and Sam playing and enjoying the snow, what great friends they are.

Love that quote... love your dogs, esp the joys of rolling in the snow. Makes me happy just to see him.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see these photos that feature Winnie in her senior years it is obvious that you have given her the best life ever. Both dogs look so happy.
ReplyDeleteI've had two cats in particular (decades apart) that I've felt 'mothered by' - lovely to see that quote.
Oh, these are such beautiful portraits of your well-loved dogs... Thank you for sharing! (Makes me wish we had some snow to roll around in...)

Love these snowy photos of your very special dogs!
ReplyDeleteHow did you end up with a Leonburger ?
ReplyDeleteHe's a rescue Sybil, adopted from our local shelter 3 years ago, his age & provenance unknown. He's not an official LeonBurger but we think he looks an awful lot like one ;-)

Actually Sybil after watching the youtube video I linked to in my previous comment (Doug & I are wondering if maybe he really is a Leonburger). Our Sam looks EXACTLY like these dogs, and has all the loving, sensitive qualities mentioned. We've never had our vet scan him for a microchip identification …
ReplyDeleteWe tease him and call him Samuel Leon"Burger" rather than Berger because of his obsessive & enormous appetite. We sure do love him whatever it is he is.
