asters

I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy.
I'll be your hope
I'll be your love
Be everything that you need.
I love you more with every breath
Truly madly deeply do..
I will be strong I will be faithful
'Cos I'm counting on a new beginning.
A reason for living.
A deeper meaning.

I want to stand with you on a mountain.
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever.
Until the sky falls down on me...

Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply

I've always loved this song and I've always kept it and it's big sentiment tucked away in my own imaginary, hopeless romantic ("that" only happens in movies meant to taint young girls or perhaps in a Nicholas Sparks novel) suitcase, pushed far under my bed, hidden away forever.

Not anymore. These words are real. Boy was I wrong. These lyrics are my life and my future. Today the cowboy and I celebrate 2 weeks of seeing each other. Of seeing each other every day, several times a day and for longer and longer periods each new day. We are fast becoming so completely tangled up with each other we both know that these knots will never come undone.

The day after our first date, dog walking in the park 2 weeks ago, the cowboy stopped at the post office to pick up his mail. He walked up to the counter where Sue stood beaming at him and he looked at her, smiled his big boyish grin and said ...

and they lived happily ever after

and he meant it.

  1. Lauchie leaned into the glow of my little lap top, read silently, smiled, leaned back and said "far out. far out." A small shrine to the divine Sue, patron saint of love letters, is being built on this side of the planet. I wonder if there are enough jasmine blossoms in the world to decorate it.

  12. Oh my goodness! If I were Sue, I don't know if I'd laugh or cry at the Cowboy's comment - probably both at the same time.

  13. SUSAN, YOU ARE
making me cry!!!!!!!! How could anything be any sweeter? Please do two posts a day...and put more pictures. I LOVE the song! The "happily ever after" means that you are his Cinderella! I am so excited for you. This means that there is still good in the world. There is still hope! Who knows when our dreams may come true? I think the beautiful golden grass would be a perfect backdrop for a picture of you, your Cowboy, Miss Winnie D., Piper Belle, Bess, and two or three kitties!! Get Sue to take the picture.

  14. I just can't stand it. I can't click my computer off or move to something else. I want to stay here with you, the cowboy, and this happy, happy day. Where can I sleep tonight? How far is Nova Scotia from Tennessee? I have read all the posts several times. I have magnified the cowboy's smile. I have admired his jacket, boots, and jeans...and I want to hug you both. What did he cook today? What did you talk about? What did you laugh about? See, you have to write that book. The title will change though....Now it's "Cinderella and the Cowboy." Then a sequel could be.........

I think I am losing it. Does he have pictures of his house? That blue sky is beautiful with the rust asters....Picks up the theme of "Until the Sky Falls Down on Me." And you have a beautiful sea! Surely a mountain not too far....I am going to plant some jasmine...and .....
