my big glass jug of tiny shells + I moved orange mama into the bathroom for a spell - les chats have a new windowsill spot / Winnie Dixon in the back garden / Virgil wishing he was an outside cat / Samuel wading at the crescent beach / I could have been an entomologist / that Creative Director - always working / sigh - the peonies / my favourite view of 29 Black Street - kitchen & laundry room/pantry windows / more of that spectacular double mock orange / Miss D in the park with clover / clematis nelly moser / salad / Betty / orange alpine poppy / view from inside a meadow

Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature -- the assurance that dawn comes
after night, and spring after winter. Rachel Carson
