good enough

glorious super warm summer like weather & Winnie & I are out looking for colour (+ light)

good enough

I'm honestly not sure I understand what that means
'though I'm quite sure it may just be the golden key

When we are sure that we are on the right road
there is no need to plan our journey too far ahead.
No need to burden ourselves with doubts & fears
as to the obstacles that may bar our progress.
We cannot take more than one step at a time.

  1. The fifth photo down looks like the leaves are on fire - cool effect with the light behind them.

The quote is awesome, and how much do I love that the person's middle name is "Swett." LOL

  2. Hey Sue!
I've often pondered the "good enough" quandary. As in, when can you truly allow yourself to say it really IS good enough, and when is it a mere cop-out because you couldn't be bothered to really make it as good as you know you could?
It's a tricky balance to strike, and I find it particularly applicable to design work. I have figured out one thing, though: Only YOU truly know when your own effort is good enough!
    Bonne chance avec la solution......
    Cheers - n

  3. Maybe the answer is in agreement #4:

    4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.”
    ― Miguel Ruiz

If I think this way then good enough is not a question. I do my best in a certain frame time, on a certain day, for a particular project and with what I
have to give. And I think n is right, only you know if you have done your best.

  4. I think we're talking about
    different "goods"

Regarding my work it feels of late
I never seem to know, 'cause best is always racing just ahead of me. I know that "I do" my best, I do give it my all, obsessively so - which I think makes "best" run even faster ahead.

  5. Your "best" will always run ahead if you are always learning and growing. The knowledge you gain in today's experiments feeds the work done in the next day and on it goes...upwards and onwards until eventually you wake up and realize you have turned in Steve Jobs ; )
