the photo of Winnie & Jake that started it all exactly 5 years ago today also a Friday July 13th 2007

who knew ... 5 years later.
5 years of almost daily posts.

Actually 1,828 posts, that's 365 posts a year, I barely missed a day & often made up for those missed days by posting multiple posts on other days. This blog became, remains still, my big beautiful and cherished net of memory. This net of love, of loss, of hurt, pain, challenge, success & struggle is so deep and vast. Bigger & more meaningful to me than I could ever have imagined. What felt like a simple lark in the beginning, a way for me to document a photo a day, turned into a life altering vehicle for huge growth and revolutionary change in my life. This blog actually taught me who I am, it showed me my worth. Words could never express how grateful I am for this magical place that I created and treasure with all my heart. My life.

an all time favourite post among many, many favourites

thank you to all who visit & especially to those who take the time to leave us a wee message
much love, xoxo Susan & her Gang

  1. .... And I've enjoyed every one of the posts that I've read along the way ... Since 2008. Yeah, I know, I don't leave to many comments ( a weak point of mine), but have been entertained by the music you post, the amazing and fantastic pics and all the quotes. You have a talent for writing Susan that keeps me going back for more. Even those down and out moments that you experience I too could relate. Thank you and wishing you much success with your projects and future projects. By the way you are a fantastic marketer too ... I bought a Canon G12 because of your rave reviews ( hope Canon reads this) Now, I'm hoping that I will be able to join your photography course.
    Happy Friday the 13th.
Hugs .... Maria in Portugal (with Canada in my heart)

  4. Susan dear, congratulations on your five years of posting. I have visited on numerous occasions and I have enjoyed every beautiful, amazing image of your seaside location, your house, your flowers, your pets, your creative art that you have posted and your sincere and inspiring words.

    My painting arrived late yesterday,
thank you so much for your kindness in sending me the original work of art, I was delighted to see the vibrant colours of the flowers and the design not only on the front of the painting but on the sides of the piece...so beautiful. You wrapped it so carefully and I loved the hand-painted paper in which it was sent, another lovely piece of your art. Thank you also for the lovely card with the trio of owls(owls are very popular in my house) and for your most thoughtful words.
Again, I thank you with gratitude for your generous spirit and kindness, it made my day to receive something so special.
Much love to you, hugs and kisses!
    Dianne.

So here's to another 5+ years of continued success.
