my favourite bird - a crow fishing at low tide just below our (Miss D's & mine) grassy hill spot
Absence is to love, what wind is to fire,
it puts out the little, it kindles the great

The cowboy's been away for a few days, since early Saturday morning. He's home again late this evening. It seems like he's been away for ages. Absence really does make my heart grow fonder.
I feel lately as if there's a cauldron of creative stew bubbling and gurgling inside of me. I'm Empire Building in my head fast & furious. This is a brand new phase in my creative life and I'm still finding my bearings. Sometimes it feels as if I have so many ideas, like I'm tugging and pulling myself in so many directions (all in my mind of course - I have notta to show for all this exertion) that it feels like I'm just spinning my wheels and not actually getting anywhere. Thankfully I know, after all these years, I trust that it's all just a part of the process - all this gurgling and bubbling and stewing and fretting ... eventually some very good things will beginning spilling out onto paper.
I'm working on a new portfolio blog (in lue of a website which is my ultimate goal and I'm hoping my genuis nephew can be hired for that job). I need a place to document everything - all my product design pieces, illustrations, collages and typographic things. Will post a link as soon as I'm happy with it. Winking (in other words it could be awhile yet).
I like the quote Susan. Crows are my favourite birds also. Only yesterday I was wishing I lived where I could hear their harsh call. It is sound synonomous with our countryside and Australian outback, both areas I love. The photos are wonderful. Good capture.
ReplyDeleteCant wait to see it :) I need to refresh my online presence with regard to my CE too. I'll add it to the to do list...
ReplyDeleteWow - I've been away from your blog for a few days and that quote is true here as well - absence made my "awwwwwwww" grow fonder. LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quote, and lovely photos...
