Winnie Dixon & Bleet

What we call the beginning is often the end
And to make an end is to make a beginning.
The end is where we start from.

T. S. Eliot

The chickadees in our garden all sing ...
Missy D, D, Deeee ... Missy D, D, Deeee

The leak, which seemed very serious initially
appears to have been a one time event. Merci Monsieur Universe

Winnie D and I are sending all of our love
& too many sweet kisses to dear Presley & Julie

More Brandi Carlile, oh my, what an incredible voice
I can't get this song out of my mind

Everything reminds me of my dog. I miss him
He was my North, my South, my East and West.

Reading Transitions: Making Sense of Life's Changes
and hopin' I'm coming to the end of a big ol' neutral zone ?

Discovering a great "new" Canadian band on the occasion
of the release of their 20 year retrospective album - wink - The Skydiggers

adore her !!

  2. Your pup is so much like our old gal, Frisket (she is almost 16 years old!). I'm going to try and find a pic of her when she was younger - they could be sisters! And I have 2 black cats, so I've bonded completely with you! haha!

  11. (fixed typos)

Brandi Carlile really does have an incredible voice, doesn't she? thanks (As always) for the delightful links you provide us to lesser known (here) marvelous Canadian talent.

Oh my gosh......wow. I was sooo hoping you'd create something for the inch by inch art project and wow, I am so glad you did. You are incredible. I LOVE it. Well, I can see I will have to spend more time on my sketch next week! Can't wait to see what you do then too.

Take care. At some point I need to take the time and catch up with all your other blog posts I have missed lately. Sorry about that but know, that I will indeed read and relish each and every one of them and usually leave a comment (so be sure to go back and read them later).

You are an inspiration. The photography alone is gorgeous.

  13. Susan, this entire post is almost too much to take in: the black and white pictures, the perfect compositions, the expressions on Winnie's face, the beautiful art ( I think it is your best one!), the comments, everything!

  17. Beautiful, beautiful photograph of your dear friends. Like a painting. Miss Winnie's sweet face reminds me so much of Apple. Perhaps they have a similar background?

  18. Beautiful lettering on your art piece. I so admire everyone who has beautiful handwriting.

  23. jut browsing and realized i did not see your sweet wishes to me and presley in this post!! thanks dear friend; you're the best! presley is hanging in there, i think his new anti-inflammatory meds are helping out and his appetite is better. his wobbliness is worse since he went off the prednisone but it just makes for a good excuse to pick him up and carry him in and out of the house with extra hugs and kisses on the way!!
