Courage is not the absence of fear,
but rather the judgement that something else
is more important than fear

Ambrose Redmoon

I'm traveling at top speed these days, faster & more furiously then I can ever remember. I hold my breath way too much
, I feel that heaviness of anxiety at the bottom of my throat, fear I think that's similar to musicians, actors, athletes - it's the fear that gets you going - it's the fear that makes you compete with yourself - to try harder, better, faster. The fear that makes you want to win this next big challenge you've placed in front of yourself. I'm rushing from one great thing to the next. It's hilly country we're racing through - I plummet down some of those hills into a pit like valley (one of weakness & nojo) and then suddenly, just as quickly, I'm shooting back up the next big mountain, confident, excited & peddling as fast as I can.

I realize now I used to be self-employed - a relatively passive position of waiting for clients to tell me what they wanted me to do for them. Now I am a business woman and an entrepreneur. I'm in charge, I'm the creative director, sales & marketing, promotions, I'm the purchasing agent, a sourcing specialist, the shipping department (with Oliver) & I cover both accounts payable & receivable - it's a ton of work - it makes my head spin much of the time but ...

Hullo ! I'm having mostly ... the best time of my life.

Who am I kiddin' - I'm on Fire !

+ my favourite horoscope site - today for Cancer's ... see told ya ... on Fire ;-)

A new moon in Aries, your tenth house of long-term goals and success, motivates you to make that extra effort to achieve your dreams, Cancer. Where do you want to be sitting (and how much money do you want to be making) by the end of this six-month cycle? No matter how daunting a task it may seem to climb up that professional ladder, it’s time to make a plan and start taking action. Identify your goal and create a framework for how you’re going to achieve it—and for bonus points, take a baby step or two towards the finish line today.

  1. God love you for finally figuring it out, girl. At 47 I'm still trying to decide what I want to do when I grow up! And I so understand the fear, the tightness in the chest, the breath-holding. I work on it every day - breathe, breathe - in, out, in, out. At least I now know WHEN I'm likely to find myself holding my breath, and I watch out for it. Congrats on your new self-identified roles! xo n

  2. PS: Just shot a minute or so of three crows giving a virtuoso performance in the tree outside our door. If I can figure out how, I'll send it along! - n

  3. thanks sweet n. xoxos

you'll figure it out .. while you're juggling your current many, colourful balls ;-)

I heart crows -2 crow's nests being built in our garden - hooray. One of which I can see well from my second floor window.

  4. we are suggesting that Oliver discuss with the team about a new 2012 stamp to be released soon! Just a thought...

  5. in honour of such an astonishing arrival for spring...

    The Spring Standards: "Unravel Unwind"

i think i sent you another of theirs a while ago. this is so heart-breakingly beautiful - i love their harmonies.

    enjoy! - n

  6. Interesting, as I was just pondering that mental shift in my own work as I woke up this morning. It means taking control and not just taking any work that comes along, but establishing what I will and won't do, what I'm really good at, what provides the best scenario for students, etc. Yeah.

  7. Hey MS - it's a huge shift & I can't believe I didn't make this darn shift ages & ages ago ?!?

This e-course I'm taking Hello Soul, Hello Business (which seems tres expensive but is actually worth 3x that price + I got an early bird sign-up discount too) - - is amazing !!, the course combined with the planets being lined up just right and the fact that I was already headed down this path anyway (but without a road map) - WOW !! is all I can say Wow. Plus it's so much more FUN this way.

    Just got this book too

  8. So happy for you for sorting it out.

    You ROCK !!!
